Our Story

Like many great ideas, The Mini Collective started with a mom, a dream, and a little too much online shopping. 

What began as a search for cute, quality clothes for my own little ones quickly turned into a full-blown passion for finding pieces that were modern, playful, and built to last longer than a growth spurt. After realizing that other parents were on the same hunt, I decided to bring those finds home, to our small town of Fairbank, Iowa!

At The Mini Collective, every item is carefully chosen with real families in mind (yes, including the ones who leave the house with cereal stuck to their sweaters.. no judgment, we've all been there!) We are here for the everyday moments, the special occasions, and the everything in between.

Meet our Crew

Leah

Founder/Chief Mini Curator

The heart behind The Mini Collective. Leah handpicks every piece in the shop, plans the events, dreams up the displays, and somehow keeps it all moving while raising three little ones and working full time. What started as a dream has become a true family adventure, usually fueled by coffee, big ideas, and a little bit of chaos.

Christian

Head of Heavy Lifting & Dad Jokes

The muscle behind the magic and Leah’s go-to for building displays, hauling boxes, market trips, and all the “quick projects” that are rarely actually quick. Christian keeps everyone laughing, helps bring Leah’s ideas to life, and occasionally asks, “Do we REALLY need this many bows?” Spoiler alert: we do.

Ford

Assistant to the Regional Manager

The oldest of the Mini crew and always ready to lend a hand. Ford takes his job seriously, especially when it involves opening boxes, checking out the boys’ new arrivals, or giving his very honest opinion on what’s cool. He’s a seasoned shop kid, occasional model, and pretty great big brother.

Reese

Director of Cuteness

Small but mighty, Reese brings plenty of personality to The Mini Collective. She loves trying on new arrivals, helping Mom around the shop, and making herself right at home behind the counter. She’s sweet, spunky, and never afraid to let us know exactly what she thinks.

Claire

VP of Sweetness

The littlest member of The Mini Collective crew, Claire joined our family just weeks after the shop opened its doors, making her part of this adventure from the very beginning. She specializes in big smiles, baby snuggles, and modeling the tiniest new arrivals. She may be the smallest member of the crew, but she has all of us wrapped around her little finger.
